Sep 25th will not open for the public because JASDF will celebrate thier 50th anniversary anniversary so it's only for the people who have "parking pass or invitation". Sep 26th may open for the public. You can see tons of the 50th special scheme JASDF airplanes there.

Oct 3rd, Hamamatsu, the photo condition is not good there. So maybe the Sep 26th will be the best chance but....... there will be very crowded!

Mr. AKAI, I'm not sure how many shows may open! But today is the open base in Misawa. So it means you can't go to watch Misawa Thunder Bird show without invitation on Sep 30th.

It's the same in Hyakuri AFB. Sep 25th is only for US & Japanese officers and limited media, not open for the public. You can go to the Sep 26th show, it'll open for the public but you can't drive in the base without parking pass. Or you can try Oct 3rd, Hamamatsu open base. I think they'll open for the public but the photo condition is bad.

So far, I didn't get any info from Korea and Kadena. So I can't tell you they're opening for the public or not.

The last choice, you can go to Andersen AFB, Guam. They will open for the public.

This is the message I got from 18WG/PA: "AmericaFest will be Sept 15 from noon until 9 p.m. However the Thunderbirds will not participate. They will still go to mainland Japan."

Andersen will have an Open House on Sept 12. This is the mail I got from PA: "the air show is on Sept. 12. As of today, we have commitments from the following type of aircraft (of course, all is subject to change/scheduling): A-10, F-16, B-52, KC-135, HC-5 (HH-60) fly w/ Navy EOD, MIG-15, Caribou, F-18, and C-130.
We're still working commitments for C-5, C-17, KC-10, B-1, F-15.

In addition to the Thunderbirds, we're expecting a demo from the F-15
and a
rescue demo from the helicopter squadron. The gates will open at 9
a.m. and
the show will end with the completion of the Thunderbird's demo."
